Insect Bites and Stings

What are the symptoms of bug bites?

  • Redness
  • Itching
  • Stinging
  • Minor swelling

How do you treat bug bites and stings?

Your doctor will wash the area with soap and water and apply a cool compress to reduce swelling. OTC treatments such as hydrocortisone cream and antihistamines can alleviate symptoms until you recover.

Minor Burns (First Degree)

What causes burns? 

First degree burns can result from accidents such as chemicals, hot liquids, etc making direct contact to the skin.

What are some symptoms of burns?

The attached areas can appear red, swollen and sensitive to the touch.

How you do treat minor burns.

Your doctor will cool and bandage the burn carefully to avoid any breakage in the blisters. OTC pain relievers will be recommended.

Minor Wounds and Cuts

How we treat wound and what to expect at your visit?

Your doctor knows how important it is to thoroughly clean the wound/cut in order to prevent any future infections. At your visit, we will

  • Disinfect the entire affected area to the remove any bacteria
  • Apply antibiotics
  • Properly bandage the wound
  • Administer a tetanus shot if you have not had one in the past 10 years
  • Give you take home instructions so you can properly take care of your wound
