What Is Lab Testing?
At BHFS Medical, we want to make getting proper care as easy as possible. We're happy to offer on-site lab services to our Irving, Denton, and Lewisville, TX patients. There are times when you visit us that we recommend getting a blood sample. Additionally, we may recommend testing for pregnancy, allergies, chronic illnesses, and other conditions. In these cases, we can easily provide these services so you don't have to make multiple trips all over town. How Are Lab Tests Performed?
Most of our lab testing involves taking a sample of either your blood or your urine. Common tests include blood count, cholesterol screening, hemoglobin A1C, urinalysis, and more. With these tests, we can determine a range of medical conditions, including diabetes, urinary tract infections, kidney disease, pregnancy, and more. Once the test results come in, someone from our team will contact you with the results and make follow-up appointments if necessary. Dr. Allen may suggest further testings to get more information and create a customized treatment plan.
